Did you know? The largest donation group to nonprofits are individuals. Every dollar counts! Support WSCACL’s youth be our next generation of change makers!
WA State Coalition of African Community Leaders (WSCACL) was founded in 2017 by a handful of African community leaders. Since, WSCACL has grown to nearly 200 led and serving African diaspora nonprofits, businesses, and individual members. Each community leader has 200 to thousands of community members in their statewide network.
Between the years of 2022 and 2023, WSCACL’s African Diaspora Cultural & Heritage’s after-school program at Rainer Valley Leadership Academy supported youth and adults that participated in the program through recommending the development of an e-book with the diverse family recipes and histories. The goal of the e-book was to sell downloads of the book to raise funds to:
- Sustain the program
- Raise awareness of multitude of African Diaspora cultures and their heritages
- Preserve and share the rich diversity and history of African diaspora traditions
