Our Programs

Environmental Justice Program
We are honored to join four of our peer BIPOC-led, statewide frontline-learning, collaborative community-based organization partners to offer pass-through capacity building, environmental justice funds to assist overburdened communities and vulnerable populations across Washington state participate in HEAL activities.

EEJ Youth Program
Formerly named, the African Youth Drug Prevention Program, WSCACL’s Evergreen Environmental Justice (EEJ) Youth program was founded in the Fall of 2019 by 5 African youth residing in King County. In 2024, the EEJ youth program has grown to 26 youth from 7 different African diaspora communities that reside in Snohomish, King, East King, South King, & Pierce counties.

Culture & Heritage Program
In 2023, six of our member organizations and individuals formed a pilot mission based WSCACL Group around African Diaspora Culture & Heritage. Each of the six Coalition members mission is to provide African diaspora culture & heritage experiences to preserve and share with the Washington community and combat negative stereotypes, while sharing the rich diversity of African diaspora culture.
